Our school of Italian language and culture is located in one of the most charming districts of Sicily.

Cefalù is distinguished not only for its popular tourist attraction to the beautiful beach and the vibrant summers, Cefalù is in fact much more. Cefalù is an artistic and cultural centre nestled in a unique natural landscape; art and music festivals animate the city all year. There are many elements of Cefalù that make it the perfect place to spend your study holiday: the sea, the “Rocca”, the Madonie nature reserve, and the Aeolian Islands which are less than two hours by boat.

Our school is located in the city centre, a stone's throw from the beach. The premises have been renovated recently with the intention of turning them into open inviting spaces, where our students can feel at home.



The strength of our school is without a doubt the team: young, international, lively, and of course very knowledgeable.



The methods used by our teachers range from “task-based” to the communication method and both are excellent in giving students the tools to learn the Italian language in an intuitive, friendly manner. The courses we offer vary in duration and intensity. The standard course consists of 20 hours per week in a group setting. The combination course is the standard course with an additional 5 hours per week of individual lessons.

The Intensive course was built to be more demanding (this course is officially recognized as Bildungsurlaub in almost all the German Laender and consists of 30 hours of group lessons). Finally, it is also possible to build an individual package with a teacher based on your particular needs and how many hours you can handle.
Classes are usually held in the morning at our school on Via Fermi but it is not uncommon for students to decide by mutual agreement with their teacher to have them at the big garden of Villa Caterina (our beautiful villa where many of our students reside).



Free time


What differentiates us from other schools is the care we devote to make our guests' stay the most pleasant possible. Our program of activities is rich and carefully selected. On Monday, after the division of groups and classes, Valerio, our young director, will lead you through the streets of the village in what he calls a “semi-serious tour” to discover Cefalù's best kept secrets. In the following days we will host a film showing, cooking classes in the rich garden of Villa Caterina, and unique excursions to Palermo both day and night. The boat ride with Fabrizio is also a fixture on the schedule: you can admire the beauty of Cefalù from a completely different perspective, and enjoy snorkeling and underwater views.

Few imagine that Sicily has mountainous landscapes, medieval castles, rivers, rapids, waterfalls and traditions typical of mountain villages. Our tour “Sicily Sconosciuta” will show this very unusual face of the island. Finally, trips to Mount Etna and Taormina, Monreale, Agrigento Valley of the Temples and the Scala dei Turchi, the islands of Stromboli, Panarea, Vulcano, Lipari are just some of the destinations that you can discover with us.



Accommodations

We offer different types of lodging each capable of meeting the most varied needs. Single and double rooms in apartments with other students, entire apartments, villas with swimming pool, hotel rooms and more.

Falling in love with Cefalù is simple, but it is even more so if in addition to appreciating the natural and artistic beauty, you are able to empathize with the Sicilian culture and the people living there. Taking a course in Italian at our school means just that, to understand and fall in love with Sicily.
