Italian language courses in one of the most beautiful historic towns at the seaside in Italy. Our school is officially recognized by the Universities for foreigners of Siena and Perugia. We offer also special courses such as Literature courses, courses of juridical Italian, business Italian courses, courses of Italian for medicins, Italian Art courses.
We offer also cooking courses and art courses like mosaic, sculpture, painting and pottery courses. In the freetime the school organizes a program of guided tours. Internet and a service of reservation of the accommodation is included in the price.
The most important point to understand about our school is the emphasis we place on personalised attention, which means that you are guaranteed a rewarding Italian-immersion experience in the classroom and through our comprehensive extra-curricular activities. Our website provides an excellent verbal and visual overview of the school facilities as well as the lovely town of Otranto, situated on the coast, in the heart of the enchanting Salento peninsula.vACCREDITATION: The school is seat and preparation center (officially recognized by the Universities for Foreigners of Siena and Perugia) for the CILS diploma, CELI certificate and DITALS exam (for foreigners and Italian teachers who want to teach Italian). This certifications of Italian as foreign language are recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is
also officially recognized by the Swedish (CSN) and German authorities for Education (Bildungsurlaub). Our school is also in contact with the National Agencies Socrates/Comenius for the training of the foreign teachers and especially for the teachers of Italian as a foreign language.
vCLASSROOM TUITION: We offer a variety of course formats to suit all requirements: intensive and extensive courses, Literature courses, courses of juridical Italian, business Italian courses, courses of Italian for medicins, Italian Art courses, Italian language courses for children. We offer also cooking courses and art courses like mosaic, sculpture, painting and pottery courses.Our school is small-scale and friendly, staffed with experienced teachers having a sincere desire to help you to learn in an atmosphere of relaxed, but attentive, individual support. vEXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: The location of our school, in the historic and artistic seaside town of Otranto, is very conducive to the whole Italian learning experience. Otranto is one of the 15 most beautiful small villages in Italy, officially recognised by ANCI (Association of Italian Villages). Its small modern port, adjacent to massive ancient stone fortifications,
adds a vibrancy supplementing an excellent array of shops, restaurants and visitor facilities. However Otranto still manages to maintain a quiet and sophisticated atmosphere, totally uncharacteristic of typical tourist towns.
Local people are warm and welcoming; you will find their smiles to be infectious. There is virtually no English spoken locally, so our students have an undiluted stunning stage on which to practice their new-found Italian skills!
Indeed we encourage all our students to engage in free-time activities as an essential part of their organic learning experience. Through our adaptable cultural program and guided tours of the magnificent Salento region (the romantic coast, the culturally rich Lecce in Apulia, the Greek area), your classroom instruction will gain heightened relevance.
